Research interests

I want to work on problems where mathematical models meet evidence. Astrophysics, particle physics, and quantum computing are distinct disciplines; the common thread for me is computation used carefully to investigate fundamental physical questions.

Questions I want to study

Exploratory interests

Research direction 01

Astrophysics & astronomical data

Extracting physical information from noisy observational data, with interests in exoplanets, astronomical surveys, and statistical inference.

Questions

  • How reliably can models distinguish physical signals from instrumental or astrophysical false positives?
  • What does a model's uncertainty mean for a scientific conclusion?

Methods to develop and apply

Research direction 02

Particle physics & computation

Using simulations, statistical methods, and computation to connect fundamental physical models with measurable observations.

Questions

  • How can simulations and inference constrain hypotheses from detector data?
  • How do detector effects and systematic uncertainties change an apparent signal?

Methods to develop and apply

Numerical simulationMonte Carlo methodsUncertainty quantification

Research direction 03

Quantum computing & quantum systems

Understanding quantum dynamics and developing computational approaches to quantum information and many-body systems.

Questions

  • What can numerical models reveal about dynamics in interacting quantum systems?
  • Which properties of quantum algorithms or devices survive realistic noise?

Work available to inspect

Projects below are distinct from the interests above. Links point to repositories with code or documentation; collaboration and scientific-publication status are labeled explicitly.

Collaborative scientific ML project

Exoplanet detection from Kepler data

A team project using Kepler Objects of Interest data and machine learning to study exoplanet-candidate classification. The repository documents the pipeline, baselines, and evaluation.

Team work. See the repository for the project's results; individual contributions should be documented separately.

Aletheia: scientific literature mapping

An arXiv-connected research agent and MCP server for mapping claims against existing literature, checking for counterevidence, and identifying testable questions.

Research infrastructure, not a peer-reviewed scientific result.
